Cold & Windy...

The weather this week in Denver definitely has me down a bit. After a few weeks of 60s and 70s when I couldn't ride the bike because of work, now that I have the week off from teaching the weather has turned and kept me indoors. Kind of a fake out on the training front, but just another thing to roll with. The moisture has been great for our new garden though, which is a bit of a maiden voyage for the wife and I, and it'll be great to have a cheap hobby this summer...

This weekend I'm off to Richmond to see my sister sing, and hopefully be able to put the running shoes to work a bit...

Next week: Season goals, plans, and what the schedule will (hopefully) look like.

'Til Then...

Masochism of the Day: First Double this season! Got all 3 in, which has to always be a good thing...

4K swim - 70 minutes (morning); 40 min stationary bike > 15 min treadmill

In the Beginning

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the blog. I am excited to share my journey with you, and hope to make this an outlet for both me as a writer and athlete, and for you as a reader and hopeful active participant in my multisport endeavors. I'll get more to the participation part in a later blog, but for now I'll establish some ground rules and let you know what to expect... (expectation number one, I like to use "..." a lot)

Since I've moved to Denver and gotten into triathlon training in the past 2 years, I've learned a lot about the sport and myself, but am absolutely an amateur athlete and will try not to take myself too seriously. In life, I like to consider myself a jack of all trades and master of none, so triathlon plays well to that philosophy. I hope for this blog to be a fairly free flowing conversation covering all the stupid things that I do in life, not just the tri-athletic ones.

Expect to see posts about music, sports, life, hiking, camping, skiing, idiotic observations, training schedules, food, beverages, my wife, my dogs, friends, family, technology, and any randomness that comes to mind...

Thanks for stopping by and please stick around, things will get more and more interesting. Your thoughts always welcome!

'Til next time...

Masochism of the Day:
Too cold & snowy for bike riding, and the pool is closed, so workout was pretty limited. I was hoping for more this week because it's spring break, but oh well...

40 minute Ab Ball routine (20 min upper body, 20 min core)
